Like Mother Like Daughter

These are one of those post people are probably like "Why the heck did she post this?" but it's one of those things I want to be able to look back at.

So apparently the apple doesn't fall far from the tree in this house. I remember often struggling to clean my room as a child and my mom always trying everything to get me to do it. Friday morning Kylee made a mess in her room before school so after school I asked her to clean it. People came over and it didn't happen. I refused to clean it because she always asks me to help her and then it ends up me cleaning and her sitting in the corner playing with a toy. So, Saturday morning I told her to clean her room again. She opted to take a nap and then people were over. Sunday came and the day was not going to pass without her room being cleaned. After church Mike told her to either clean her room or take a nap, which she usually avoids naps, again she choose to nap. She woke up and had a snack then I made her stay in her room. Eventually my friend Lisa and I end up in her room on the bed telling her how to clean up. Seriously, she played with everything before she would put it away. Afterward she said thanks for helping her clean her room and went and showed daddy what a good job she did. This week she really hasn't played in her room so she doesn't have to clean a mess.

Playing with Payton in the disaster.

Trying on a hat.

Telling Payton to put everything in the bucket

Sitting on the bucket then balancing on her head.

Lisa not being able to resist the dress up stuff... she cleaned up her own mess.

Her clean room ... 6:30 pm... day 3.

Wow she is better than you because it does not look like anything is shoved anywhere. Her room is so cute. You have a fancey house.

That is hilarious!!
These little girls definitely have ideas of their own on how they'll do things!!
Raegan totally does the "mom will you help me clean it" thing too. Of course you can't resist when you just want it done now, but it's hard to get in there when they demolish it, and you have so many other things to do yourself!!
Love the hat Kylee's wearing! My mom wore one very similar when she married my dad.....scary!!!!

Oh my gosh Holly, that is exactly how Haley is. She wont clean unless we "tell her what to do". Then she wont play for like a week so she wont have to clean up. at least she naps whenever I tell her to clean her room. She is better than Claire though, She just flat out refuses. Oh mothers revenge

What a cutie. My favorite thing was to have a separate room for the toys, then they didn't get mixed up with all the clothes/blankets/shoes, etc. It will be one of your "mom" challenges until they don't live there! Great job to take pics though, so when they have kids, you can show them!

Grace has the same disease...it is seriously frustrating. I usually end up finishing the job out of pure exasperation!
