Pajama Party

We had our first cousin sleepover since Mike's sister Dannielle moved her last week. The girls all wore their matching pajama's that Nana got them and all had pigtails. We started the night off going to the store and picking out candy for the movie and then the girls all took turns riding in Uncle Mike's little red convertible (not a new car, borrowed!) which might have been the favorite part. Before we could start the movie we had to get pics!

Sweet girls even let Payton tag along!

HUGS!!

Being Silly! Payton was acting like she wasn't looking at the camera, silly girl!

After pics we started Nim's Island. Kylee talked a little bit too much during the movie but she loved finding the "seeds" in the popcorn since she just learned about seeds in school.

Yum!

Tay Tay decided we were too much fun for her to handle and went home for her beauty rest but Camryn stayed and she and Kylee slept on the air mattress.

CRASHED!

The next morning we had some delish banana pancakes and then Taylor and Ryan came over to play. The kids all played dress up and again they included Payton. Payton refused to take a nap and miss out on all the fun.

Eventually Payton gave up and took a nap and the older kids got to play outside. They played with side walk chalk for a while but then Aunt Holly came up with the most fun idea. PICKING WEEDS! I know, I am too kind to share such a fun thing with them. The girls got 10 cents a weed. Uncle Mike was beyond happy knowing the weeds were gone... it was his job! Next week is the backyard and they get double!

That's a lot of weeds!

We had tons of fun and look forward to lots more! Thanks Dilger's!

First Day Pictures!

Kylee had her first day of preschool today and she loved it. She is going Tuesday and Thursday's in the afternoon and Friday morning for a couple hours. I decided to put her in school earlier than necessary because I wanted her to learn to socialize with other kids her age and because she wanted to go to school so bad I promised she could go if she would go pee on the big girl potty all the time! I couldn't break a promise! The learning is an added bonus but I like to think I was doing good on that already. Hopefully she will hang out with the other kids at the park instead of sitting with the mom's chatting it up. So I remember my mom always taking our picture the first day of school but I don't remember her taking tons like I did. I think she looked so cute in her back pack and first day of school outfit.

Cute Girl! When I took her into school she put her backpack on the hook and walked right into class and sat at the computer and never looked back. No goodbye, mom please stay, don't leave me here, love you... NOTHING. She had a great day! The teacher said she loved painting. She is the only girl out of 6 or 7 kids. I really liked her school and all her teachers. Kylee and I are really excited for the upcoming year of fun!

Just Because I Like 'Em!

Last week the girls and I went to the mall so of course we stopped at the pet shop. I never really thought to show Payton the animals before but I did this time and she loved the puppies! Here is a little video of her watching them.

So as mentioned before Payton says "dada" and "mama" but I am still pretty sure she is just babbling. I think its funny cause when she is happy she whispers "dada" and when she wakes up or when she wants food when she is sitting in her highchair she yells "mama" over and over. I think that is how kids are... get excited for daddy and whine and yell at Mom. Anyways, yesterday I realized she was saying Hi when I was talking to her. She just started to wave and say Hi and luckily I caught it on my phone. Excuse my high pitch excited voice.

So I am paranoid that if I post stuff only about Payton I will look like I am favoring a child so here is a pic of Kylee and I taking a little nap. I like this picture because had she not been laying next to me my right hand would have been propped under my chin like she is doing with her left. She does take after me a little!

Our Family Pictures!

While we were in California over 4th of July my sister in-law, Nikki, took our family pictures. She is awesome! Seriously I was calling her like every other day asking her for her opinion on what to wear for like 2 week before and she never made fun of me, that I know of :) She has such a great eye and found some great backgrounds. Here are some little collages she put together for us. Thank you so much Nikki. I love them and am so grateful you shared your talent with us.

Christenhiemer's

Last Sunday we went to see the Christensen's and Paige in Glendale, AZ. The Christensen's are my parents best friends and their 2 daughters are Paige and I childhood bestest friends. We are so lucky to be able to be close enough to see them at least once a month. They are an amazing family. The Christensen's made Kylee a special birthday dinner with chicken nuggets, hot dogs, homemade french fries, and Jello ( by Paige). Kylee liked it. We had another round of cupcakes for her as well. Christensen's and Paige got her tons of fun stuff too. She is one lucky girl. The best part of the whole day was meeting baby Will, Jess and Mark's baby boy. He is precious! We had a very good day. Here are the all the peeps at the party... minus Nicki's man who I have no pic of. Take note of the super cute shirts and bows my girls have on... Thank you Val Ford for them they are my favorite.

So in those pics we have : Papa Mike, Payton, Paigee, Kylee, Allen (sitting), Mac, Mike, Baby Will with Jess admiring, Mark "Crazy Eyes", Grandma Barbara, Nicki... I mean Nicole.

And just a few more...
Kylee blowing out her candles!
Making a princess crown with Paige and Nicki.

Growing and growing

Both my girls had their well visit appointment on Monday, Kylee her 3 year old check and Payton her 9 month. Kylee did pretty good. She just kept talking the whole time the Dr was there. He said she had an outstanding vocabulary.... I think he meant she doesn't stop! Kylee is 35 lbs (75%) and 39 inches (85%). She didn't have to get shots which is always good. Payton is 19.4 lbs (50%) and 29 3/4 inches (95%). She is very healthy. She had to get 3 shots. Poor baby does not do well with shots. She loved being on the table and crawling around and tearing the paper.

Here are a few of my girls favorite things...

Kylee:

  • talking on the phone and to anyone that will listen
  • eating candy and fruit snacks
  • visiting daddy at work
  • playing with her friends
  • going to the park
  • shopping
  • looking at the moon, "la luna"
  • Dora

Payton:

  • eating by herself
  • crawl around following her sister
  • pulling her sisters hair
  • pulling up on the couch and her activity table
  • saying "da da", "ma ma", "ba ba" ... pretty sure she just is saying the sounds not the words but we love it when it sounds like she is calling us.
  • looking in the fridge
  • playing with Kylee's big girl toys

Mike and I adore our girls and love watching them grow together, becoming each others best friend. We are super lucky parents.

BFF and Ever

Last Tuesday Joel and Weedle, Mike and I's first BFF's as a married couple, and their beautiful daughter, Alia, drove all the way from Utah to come see us. It was so great to see them. We hadn't seen them in 15 months but really felt like no time had passed... except we each had a little girl added to our families. Payton and Alia played together all week. Payton cried every time I tried to lay her down for a nap and wanted out to play with her best friend. When Alia was gone Payton went back to no crying at nap time. They were way cute. We got to do lots of shopping so Joel hopefully had a good time... good enough to move here? We are so lucky to have made such a great friendship with the Mitchell's. We appreciate them so much and all the time they spent with us. We love you guys! See you in Utah.... one day!

Cute Girls!!

Alia loved this table... someone really needs to get one for her!!

Kylee would sit and talk to Joel about anything and Joel is too nice and would really act interested in what she had to say.

Bestest Friends!

I guess you have to know these two to not be weirded out by this picture... no it is weird no matter what!

P.S. We missed you Johnny and Vance. Next time you guys come too!

Party One - Chuck E Cheese

Birthday Girl!
Guest... Kylee's Friends

Even though Kylee wanted a ballerina party at the park she still had a good time with all her friends at Chuck E Cheese. I think the adults might of even had fun too! I am pretty sure Weedle and I both loved beating our husbands in basketball. Next year I will put some time and effort into her party and pic a place were we can afford to invite all of her friends. Thanks to the Mitchell's, Mannings, and Orvins for coming! You all made her day! Here are more pics of the day!

Happy Birthday Kylee Girl!!

To my sweet, sassy, silly girl....
Happy 3rd Birthday!
I cant believe how fast time has flown. My first baby girl is 3 now. I think the 3 year old attitude has come a little early and this age wont be fun but I promise to love her no matter how much sass comes out of her mouth. I think she puts up a lot with me so I must put up with her. She has grown tons over the past few years. We are so blessed to have her fun little self in our lives. I love you Monkey!
