Good Times

We had a lot of fun while we were in California. Here are a few of the many fun times we had. Well, most were fun but the day at the beach was cut short when Kylee fell on the rock steps and busted her lip. We thought she bit all the way through her lip at first cause there was so much blood but she just bit the inside and outside real good. It got really swollen and when she would talk it sounded pretty funny. She was pretty tough and got over it after an hour. Daddy's cuddles always seem to help her the most. The beach was beautiful for the 20 minuted we were there.

I love the picture of Kylee and Ryan holding hands with her big flower Daddy gave her.
Swimming is a daily activity for the kids. I got to go a couple times to work on my tan but I don't see much of a difference.

The kids in the pool playing on the step.

Camryn and Tay Tay showing Kylee how to swim. They are such great friends. I love that Kylee has so many cousins close enough to her age to play with on both sides of our families.
Feeding the ducks ... a favorite of ours!

Payton had fun watching as all the kids fed the ducks. Those duck were so full by the time we left.

Happy Birthday Love

Despite me ruining Mike's birthday afternoon, I don't wanna talk about it, I think he still had a good day. We went to dinner and the movies and the came home to family and friends to have cake. Mike's mom got him a ColdStone Birthday cake because he has always wanted to try one. What a great mom! Here he is looking good as always on his birthday.
Everyone getting ready to sing Happy Birthday! (below)

Kylee and Daddy blowing out the candles... well almost. Ryan got to them first!

Happy Birthday Mike. I love you so much and am so grateful for all you do for our family. You are the best dad and husband... even though you are old!

We Love Fireworks!

We spend our 4th of July's at Mike's parents house each year and each year we get to see a awesome fireworks show. Mike parents live on "tall mountain", as Kylee calls it, and it over looks the park where the city of Woodland Hills has their fireworks show. It is absolutely beautiful. Kylee loved it and Payton slept through it all, 25 minutes of it! Thank you Nick and Linda for providing a good time as always!

Watching the fireworks and Haley yelling "this is the best day of my life!"

In awe of the beauty!

Addison Jean is here!!

My sister Melissa had her sweet baby Addison on June 30Th and I was lucky enough to be able to be there. By be there I don't mean in California or at the hospital, I mean I was in the room witnessing the whole nasty .... I mean miraculous event. It really was cool especially cause my sister has a amazing birthing body and pushed that baby out in like one continuous push. My sister is awesome. I am so grateful she let me be a part of this special time. Thanks sister!

Pretty sure Addy is rooting on my chest in this pic. She came out hungry!

9 lbs 7 oz and 21 inches

Here she is threatening to cry. I love that pouty (sp?) lip.

Here is Melis the day before she had her. Can I just say I don't even look that good at 7 months let alone the day before. Oh and there is Claire checking herself out in the back.

Wanna Wrastle?

Here are pics of Payton pinning Kylee after a sweet wrestling match. They are lots of fun to watch as Payton gets older and they can do things together. Kylee's new thing is to get Payton to crawl back to her room so they can play in there. (I told Kylee we only play in Paytons room if Payton is in there playing, which used to mean I was in there too.) Crazy kid!

Kylee also likes helping Payton "walk". I don't know why but Payton loves it. They crack each other up.

An Ode To Daddy

D is for DEDICATED

and A is for AMAZING

another D is for DESERVING

and the last D is for DARN CUTE

and Y... because WE LOVE YOU!

Thanks to stupid UPS we had no gift to give daddy on Father's Day last week so we spread it out to Father's Week (work week days). He just got breakfast made for the actual Father's Day. Here are pictures of what he got!

Monday: Craftsman Leaf Blower

Mike likes having the landscape look nice so we thought this would help.

Tuesday: $5 Sears Gift Cards

Since the first year Mike and I were married I got this for him for Fathers Day. He got them from the cats before we had the girls. So this is tradition.

Wednesday: Double Burner Skillet

As few may know Mike makes the most delicious Philly Steak sandwiches ever. Well we have been wanting to get a group of friends together to have these amazing sandwiches and so this will help him to make a big batch so he isn't stuck at the stove grilling one Philly at a time.

Thursday: Mini Golf permission

Mike has been wanting to build a little putting green in the backyard and I kept saying no cause the kids would hit each other with his clubs so I got him this kids set so when he builds it the kids can use these. My way of giving him the go ahead on doing it.

Friday: Movie Tix

Mike loves going to the movies so I thought if he had the tix it would motivate him to take the time to go. I worked cause we saw Get Smart the next day. Funny movie BTW!

I hope Mike had a good Father's Week. He is the best father anyone could ask for. He works extremely hard for us to provide us with a home and all we need. He spends what little free time he has with us and the girls adore him. I am grateful for my dad for being a amazing dad and showing me what to look for in a man to be a wonderful father for my children and I am grateful for Mike's dad for teaching him to be that man. We are a three incredible lucky girls in this house. We love you so much!

Another month and a new trick!

Payton turned 8 months yesterday. She is getting big so fast. She is totally a sassy one. She has learned if she screams when Kylee is on her or touching her I will get Kylee off so now she will screech or scream as soon as Kylee looks like she might come near here. She loves Kylee though. When Kylee lays down near her she will try to tackle/wrestle her. Its cute. I will try to get a pic of it. I love how much my girls love each other. Payton has both her bottom teeth now and still not much hair. We love her just the same. We are very blessed to have our baby girl. Here is a video of her new scooting/crawl. I figure she will get it right eventually. Excuse her lack of clothing... the bait is a little messy.

Help me!

So Payton turns 8 months this week and I am still holding on to this baby weight. I cant complain cause I only have tried to lose weight for a week. I am going to do the Weight Watchers program, without the meetings and weigh-ins, and the Slim in 6 workout video. I added the tickers to the right so that you fellow bloggers can encourage/make fun of me when my tickers show no change... or even go backward! this is my two week trial run to see if this regimen works for me. I appreciate your help!

Kylee is pretty much potty trained!!

The only accident she has had these past couple days is when she was playing with her friends and not paying attention to her body telling her to hold it! I think it is safe to say she's got it!

Accident Free!!

Today Kylee went potty on the big girl potty all day and did not have any accidents! That included two poo poos on the potty! I apologize for the dirty talk but it is a very good day for us! Today completed the 2nd week of this wonderful experience. She told me she had to go potty twice today instead of me asking or telling her to go. That gives me huge hopes for this nightmare to be over! I am very proud of her for letting go somewhat of her stubbornness. Tonight she went and got some shave ice with her daddy for a "dessert date"/reward for a accident free day. I cant wait til she is totally trained and we can resume a normal life again!

The many faces of Paytie!

For what ever the reason, since Payton got that bottom tooth she has been doing some funny faces. Her most common one is the one above. She does this face while she is concentrating and she sucks air/saliva in and out of her mouth as she does it. She cracks me up. She also has perfected the Zoolander face as well. I decided to capture them today for you all to see.

Here is the other new thing she has been doing. So she does go on her hands and knees like she wants to crawl but at the same tine she does this too. So we we will see if she crawls normal or Mowgli style. She mysteriously gets around right now across the floor to get to toys but Mike and I cant really tell how she is doing it. She is very sneaky.

Freestone Park!

The Orvin Bunch joined us on our trip as a family to Freestone Park. We had a good time as always! We fed the ducks and then Mike found an ice block and a huge hill and decided to go ice blocking. The Orvin's had never heard of it, being from Arkansas and all :), so we showed them how it is done. I think Tiffany still thinks we are nuts but that's OK! I was able to get a few pics of the girls together which is always a plus. I love dressing them alike... cheesy I know but Kylee loves matching Payton. When they aren't matching she tells me to go to Target and get one for her. Love how much she loves her sister. Anyways... good times!

Mia Rose

On Friday afternoon my sister Mandy and her husband Ryan welcomed their third child to this world. She looks super cute. We cant really tell who she looks like more but she looks like her parents so that is good. No worries as to who the father is... she was with Edward at the time! Anyways, Mia Rose is 8 lbs 6 oz and 21 inches. Her brother loves her and Isabel wanted mommy to put her back in her tummy but is accepting that is not happening. Her are the two pics I got.

Conclusion

So my poll has showed that 80%, of the people that voted, check their blog at least once a day for comments. The thing I think is interesting is that of those 80% only like 30% of them will leave a comment. So everyone looks for comments but nobody leaves them. I love getting comments because even though I like to post for my records it is nice to know people are entertained as well. I promise to be better at commenting and I think you should too!!
