What's Poppin.. or not!

SO Kylee fell out of bed on Monday morning, March 31st, and hurt her arm. I noticed she favored it for the next couple days but thought it might go away. Wed Mike and I took her to the Dr.s and they said it looked like her elbow was dislocated which is very common for her age group. The Dr. tried to pop it back into place but couldn't which was not common. He sent her home with a sling and said he was going to submit her xrays to radiology to see if they could see a fracture that he couldn't. He called us later that day and said there is no fracture and to bring her in the next day so he could try to pop it back again. Well we went and still no pop. He said just to watch it and see how it goes cause it could be a sprain and that will just get better with time. Here we are day 12 and she is a lot better but still can bend it or straighten it all the way. I am going to get through this weekend and them if she still cant have full range I will have to take her to an Orthopedic Dr. We shall see!

A Weekend in the Closet!!

So this last weekend I got a migraine and thought I was seriously going to have a brain aneurysm. It was pretty bad and the thing is if you haven't had a migraine then you probably are just thinking back to what your last headache felt like and calling me a huge wuss. Well that isn't so... I promise. Here is how the weekend went. Day 1: I woke up Friday morning with it and grabbed the quilt and pillow and went into the closet where the least amount of light is. Mike needed to go to work so he took care of the girls as long as he could. I think I lasted like 30 minutes before calling Mike crying. A co-workers wife, Julie, came over and watched the girls for me the WHOLE day. Huge help... huge thank you to her! So I was able to come out when it got dark and felt well just long enough to get the girls bathed and in bed and for some other friends, Quinton and Kara, to come by so Mike and Quinton could give me a blessing. Thank you to them as well! I lasted about 20 minutes before having to go back to bed. The migraine came back and I thought I was dying again. Day 2: Oh yeah, so I was supposed to drive to Cali today with Jessica and Nicki Christensen to go to Disneyland. Got my phone and had some missed calls, voicemail, and texts from their family letting me Mac wanted to go too. I was so sad cause it would have been so fun and now I had to ruin it. SO I called Barbara, mom Christensen, to let her know what was going on and that i couldnt go. Being the wonderful woman she is she helped me to realize I needed to find a Dr. and I needed help that day so Mike could take me to the Dr's and go to work. She and Mike (her Mike) came down from Glendale and she took over the girls so Mike could take care of me. My Mike asked if I wanted to go to a Dr and I said I just wanted to be put to sleep. So we went to the urgent care and they gave me a shot in the butt of dopamine and anti nausea meds and then told us if it doesn't go away I need to go to the ER for a CT. On we went with two bottles of meds. We got home and Mike went to work and Barb and her Mike continued to take care of the girls wonderfully. I hardly ever heard them and was able to sleep. My Mike got home and took over and the Christensen's were able to go home to and empty house cause their kids went to Disneyland without us! Thanks to Mike and Barb for their help. Dont know what we would have done without them. Day 3: Mike took care of EVERYTHING! He cleaned the house, fed the girls, took amazing care of me... seriously I couldn't ask for more which means a lot cause when ever I get sick I want my mom. Mike took care of me as good as my mom.... hopefully he knows what a huge complement that is. So I ended Sunday feeling better. By Monday I was able to function. I got lightheaded a lot but I could take care of my girls.
Moral of this huge long story... Friends are important, Families (Christensen's) are life savers, and an amazing husband is hard to come by so if you got one keep him!! I will always look back at what Mike did for me this weekend and know how much he really loves me. I am so dang lucky!

Crazy Flower

So our friends little boy Carter was playing outside the other day and he came in with this cool flower. It is from a vine that is hanging over the wall into our backyard. I went out that day and didn't see anymore so just thought that was it. I went out again a couple days later and there were a bunch. The longer I looked at them the creepier they looked to me. If a kid goes missing in my backyard I am blaming it on these flowers. They are really cool cause the petals alternate purple and white and then they have these dark purple spiky centers. The very middle is what creeps me out. Anyways... here are some pics!

Hoppy Late Easter

I know I am late getting this out but at least it doesn't take a couple of months like some bloggers I know... there are a lot of you! We had a great Easter this year. Kylee loved looking for eggs and she got to do it 3 times. Here is our family picture taken with the timer on the camera. I run fast!!

Kylee loves her sister and Payton loves her more... she has a funny way of showing it though!
So Kylee gets to pick out her pajammies cause I pick out her regular clothes. Of course she has to pick out the Christmas ones!!

Cute Crazy Cousins

Grandma got these three cousins matching dresses for them to wear to church while they were here in Arizona. Kylee loved being matching with Haley and Claire bear. They had the same bows and shoes too. Kylee had a lot of fun playing with them despite the fact she was getting a double ear infection and she is almost three and horrible. Hopefully Hales and Crair had enough fun in AZ and with Kylee that they can try to convince their mom to move here!! :) Here are a couple more cute pics of them before church being silly.
Haley and Kylee being monkey's!
Cute Claire giving sissy kisses.

Grandpa & Grandma

This weekend we had some of my family here visiting. Payton had a lot of fun with Grandma and Grandpa. She liked watching TV with Papa and when he would lift her in the air. Grandma would talk to her and give her kisses and she would just smile. Here are a few cute pictures with them

Family Pics

As you can see from the new family pic at the top of my page we took some pics. So apparently as kids get older they get less photogenic. We had a wonderful photographer, Tiffany, and she will attest to the fact that Kylee was not haven it. She was in no mood to take any pics. We took what we could get though. Here are a few of my favorites... mostly kind of candid. Big huge thank you to Tiff for taking them!!

Annoying Commercials

So you know the lame commercial people that always get stuck in your head... Examples: Carrot Top, Totally Awesome Computer Guy, any attorney commercial, and my favorite "it will hurt if I swallow, it will hurt if I swallow, It will hurt if I... MOMMY" little girl. Well apparently Kylee was listening to Paigee, Jess and Nicki Christensen when they were over and saying she should be in commercials cause this morning she was auditioning in my bathroom mirror saying " IT'S MY MONEY AND I NEED IT NOW!" Seriously, of all things to pick up on in all of the many commercials. Crazy kid! Here is her audition still shot....

Lawn Body Surfing

We went to our good friends the Orvin's yesterday for a little photo shoot. Payton didn't like the feel of the grass on her skin so she would keep her arms and legs up like she is swimming. Payton is a very serious baby so it was nearly impossible to get a good smiley picture but Tiffany did a good job getting some cute pics anyways. Here are a few more of Payton and one of her cute friend Kennedy...

Thanks to Tiffany, Grant, and Kennedy for a fun time... as always!

Quickest 4 Months

I can't believe my Payton is already four months. She is such a great baby. We are very lucky to have such good girls. Kylee likes to do a baby voice when she talks to Payton and it is really cute and funny. Payton just will just watch Kylee when she is in the same room. I think they will be great friends as they grow up. I am sure that is mostly wishful thinking. Well, Payton had her Dr.'s appointment today. She did really good and I remembered to give her Tylonol this time when she got the shots. She really hasn't been bad except this last hour that I forgot to keep up on the Tylonol and her little legs hurt. She is still a big girl. She is 14 lbs 3 oz (75th percentile) and 27 inches which is off the charts for height. The Dr said she is the average height of a 8 month old. It is hard to find pants long enough for her... especially pajamas. All in all she is amazing!!
P.S. I love this picture cause she has a crooked Peter Petrelli/Jess smile!!

Happy Lovers Day!!

Ok so I got send a shout out to my dead sexy husband on this day of sweet love! I know you all THINK your husbands are great and all but ... MINE IS BETTER! Not only do I have a man with good looks, an incredible personality, sense of humor, kind, compassionate, serving, but man he is good in the kitchen :) Most mornings he has made breakfast for him and Kylee before I even get up. Yeah, that too ... he gets up with Kylee most mornings he can and lets me sleep in. He works really hard for us too. He always works so hard and long hours so that I dont have to go to work and stress about money. On his days off he still works here at home. He is always bettering our home with all his handyman skilz. He is very talanted. He loves to help people in anyway he can. It seems like he is always offering to help someone. He is the best dad ever. Dont believe me, ask Kylee. Her dad is her best friend and she will do anything for him. He feels the same way. We went to the temple last night and it just reminded me how lucky I am to have him... even when we had to stop everything so he could go potty. I enjoyed the break and being able to see him since we sat so far apart. I truly am blessed to be able to be a part in his life and to have his babies so that he could never leave me! Here is a little look at what I get every night.

Hot or Cold??

As I got up this morning and looked out this window in my kitchen and saw the beautiful sky I started to wonder why anyone would want to live in the snow. I know there are people who like the snow so of course they wouldnt mind it but the people that dont really like it and still live in it, why? I know Arizona is not perfect but I would rather be 15 degrees hotter in the summer rather that 40 degrees colder, on a good day, in the winter. The heat doesnt make you go shovel outside or make driving conditions bad or make you have to scrape down your car after it runs for half an hour before you go drive anywhere or even slip and fall on your butt (thank you Leigh Robins for reminding me)! I know that is just me but I am curious to how all you bloggers, and non bloggers (Weedle), feel. What would you rather deal with? Hot or Cold?

Kids say the darndest things!

Anyone who knows Kylee knows that she likes to talk. Well, she remembers everything so I have to be careful with everything I say. Last week when I was putting her to bed she asked me to lay down with her. I laid next to her on my side and started to talk with her. She looks at my chest and says " you got owie on yous boobs?" I look down to see what she is talking about and see my cleave is extra high because I was laying on my side. I told her no and it was just my chest crack, I am trying to get her to say chest instead of boobs. I tried getting her off the topic but shortly after she says " Can I put my finger in yours crack?" I tried not to laugh then told her we don't put fingers in any cracks. I thought it was so funny. She asked me today as I did laundry. Who wants to stick fingers in peoples cracks anyway??? She hangs out with her dad way too much!!

I'm blue.. daba dee daba die

Take this test!
You're blue — the most soothing shade of the spectrum. The color of a clear summer sky or a deep, reflective ocean, blue has traditionally symbolized trust, solitude, and loyalty. Most likely a thoughtful person who values spending some time on your own, you'd rather connect deeply with a few people than have a bunch of slight acquaintances. Luckily, making close friends isn't that hard, since people are naturally attracted to you — they're soothed by your calming presence. Cool and collected, you rarely overreact. Instead, you think things through before coming to a decision. That level-headed, thoughtful approach to life is patently blue — and patently you!

To the right, to the right ... (sang like Beyonce)

I have added a poll to my blog as to what we should do about Melissa's blog. As you all know she has come up with some lame excuses for not updating her blog and I don't think it is right. As her fellow bloggers I think it is our decision as to what to do about this blogging behavior. Please vote on the poll on the right. Ah thank you!

p.s. Melissa is scared of Gremlins... still!

Better late than never?

So I know I am late posting these but oh well. Paigee got home from here mission on December 14th. When we got off the elevator she was there to surprise us. All our pictures are in the parking garage at the airport ... ghetto I know. So then the next pictures are just some fun pics at the park when we had a little picnic. We had Santa come and visit us the Sunday before Christmas for the kids. He brought them a little something to prepare them for Christmas day. They were so excited he came. Lastly there are pics from Christmas day. Again, lots of fun. I was a wonderful time and we were glad to be able to spend so much time with family.

Belated 2 Month Checkup

Payton had her two month check up today. She has grown so much. She weighs 13 pounds and is 24 1/2 inches long. That puts her in the 95th percentile for both. She had to have her shots this appointment and she cried the hardest she ever has. Of course she thinks I caused her the pain cause the nurse makes the mom hold the arms down. She looked at me and smiled then came the shot. Hurt my heart. As if that wasn't bad enough I forgot to get Tylenol to give her like the Dr said so when she woke up from her nap her legs were hurting. She cried as hard as when she got the shots anytime something touched her legs. So dang sad! I am such a bad mom for not being prepared for that.

Here is a picture from last night when the girls were hanging out on the couch together. I like to remember the good times instead of the sad.
